Continuity
Your installation stays
under your control.
You operate Vigil and its PostgreSQL database on your own infrastructure. There is no expiring license key or dependency on a Sikur-hosted monitoring service.
Commercial releases become Apache-2.0 after twenty-four months, or earlier when twelve months pass without a new release. The grant is defined in section 8 of the license.
Core remains a public, open-source starting point. Hosting, backups and upgrades are your responsibility in either edition.
